On Friday, November 9, 2018 the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation hosted a curatorial symposium at the New Museum in New York to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Emily Hall Tremaine Exhibition Award.
Presenters at the Curatorial Symposium included Aram Moshayedi, writer and curator, Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Andrea Steves and Timothy Furstnau with FICTILIS; and Johanna Burton, Keith Haring Director and Curator of Education and Public Engagement, New Museum.
For this talk, I spoke about how I developed my writing style, curatorial process, and working with archives. The talk was followed by a Q+A with Hrag Vartanian and Veken Gueyikian, co-founders of Hyperallergic.
